Using Chroma Key

To insert the images and footage into the photo frame I had to use chroma key on final cut express. this was a simple process where I just adjusted the colour control, saturation and luma strip. Each image had to be adjusted individually, as they had a slightly different colour balance. The process did take a while but it was easy to apply and looks really good. 

I also had to play around with the opacity feature to bring in and out clips of the couple. 

Editing My Website

So far with my website I have put in a background that appears on all the pages, I have made the pages that I would like to include; home, news, band bio, music video, lyrics store, gallery, contact, soundcloud and social network links. I have not edited all of these pages yet, though most have been changed in some way.

I am currently unable to link the website as I have not published it making it live, the main reason for this is because it is unfinished. instead here are some screen shots of the site.

IPHONE 5!

So a little while ago I treated my self to an early Christmas present, that's right the iPhone 5, and it's finally arrived. As you may be able to tell I am a little bit excited about it, one thing in particular that I'm excited about is the Blogger app which I have just installed, meaning I can blog on the go. LIKE RIGHT NOW!

Editing

Today I continued editing my music video, focusing on the film burns which are over the dream/memory section of the music. The reason I am paying so much attention to the film burns is because I don't want them to be to strong, and make the video look tacky. The burns are there to represent that fact this dream is in fact the memory of the couple breaking up.

Additional Sounds Effects

For my music video I wanted to include the sound of ocean noises or a wave breaking surf, I felt this would tie in well with the music video both visually and lyrically as it has a nortical theme. I also planed on calling the  album Ocean Noises, this is another way the sound links to the project.

Music Video Second Draft

My second draft of the music video, I still need to film and add some footage as well as edit a lot of the footage. Like the film burns used, I think they are slightly too strong still.  But I am happy with how it is coming along.
